The sun sinks below the horizon as day fades into night. All sounds seems to stop at once as if the darkness itself brought the silence. Bright little dots start covering the cloudless sky, forming thousands of unnamed constellations.
A lone assassin runs across a muddy field covered by bodies drowning in their own blood. His boots touch the ground, but they leave no imprints, each movement he makes is soundless. His black garb whips back and forth behind him as he runs, revealing knives and a sword under his garb.
His eyes begin to smolder red as his target whimpers from behind a tree. He unsheathes his sword silently. The woman dares to peak around the tree at that exact second, she screams. She tries to run, but the weight of a child in her stomach slows her down too much. He grabs her by the hair and forces her to the ground. She silently screams to herself as tears fall down her muddy cheeks. She pleads to some higher source for help, but instead of a savior, a sword descends and cuts open her belly. She tries to scream, but she merely whimpers. She tries to stand up and run, but the swift kick of a boot to her head stops her completely. The night is silent once again for a second, but then a baby’s cry is heard as the assassin reaches into the unconscious woman’s stomach and brings an underdeveloped blood stained baby girl into the world.
“It’s a girl.” He whispers into the night
“Then discard it.” a voice from nowhere replies.
The assassin takes the baby by the leg and throws it over his shoulder. A silent thud is heard, followed by the splash of water as the baby hits a tree, and then falls into the water.
“We will find him…eventually.”
The assassin nods and turns towards the west and begins to walk away with out even a second glance.

End Of A Romantic Story
The world spun in circles as we laid on the ground sharing our last kiss together. Tears rolled off her cheeks and landed on my own tear stained cheeks.
“I love you.” She pulled back and whispered. Her eyes were red and puffy, her blue eyes barely visible through her partially closed, waterlogged eyes.
“I love you more.” I whispered back. It was getting harder and harder to speak as I became weaker. The poison continued eating at my body, it was almost time to die. My heart ached. How cruel is god to do this to me now? I finally found her, the girl of my dreams, the girl I had always looked for, but never had been able to find. Brought together by chance, torn apart by fate.
Red-hot pain shot through my lungs and heart, and I wasn’t sure if it was physical or emotional. I tried focusing on something, anything else to take my mind off the pain. I realized that I couldn’t feel my legs or the tips of my fingers. My jaw started to shiver. Though my insides felt as if they were burning, I felt as cold as death.
“Hold my hands, I am cold.” I said. Her hands silently slipped into mine as she brought her body closer to mine. Her body felt like a hot fire burning at my skin, but I didn’t say anything, I just wanted to be closer to her. It was just heat, just pain, it would pass, but so would she.
I wanted to laugh, I wanted to cry, I wanted to do something, but my body wouldn’t allow it anymore. I had a lump in my throat that just wouldn’t leave, and a laugh in my heart that I wouldn’t be able to share. She was the little spoon. I wanted to tell her, make her smile, hear her laugh one last time, but I couldn’t find the strength.
Her head was resting on my chest, listening to my heart slowly count down the seconds. She lifted her head and forced a smile, “You’re the big spoon.” She laughed, but she quickly fell back into tears as she buried her face into my chest. I tried to smile, I tried to do anything, but once again it was useless. She lifted her head one last time, and kissed me on the lips.
“This isn’t the end.” She whispered, and then I remembered no more.
